What it does

Sign in with your ChatGPT account or an API key
Runs commands in a sandbox with approval levels
Can also run with local models through Ollama

Install it

Requirements: A ChatGPT account or an OpenAI API key (or Ollama for local use).

Install (macOS / Linux)

curl -fsSL https://chatgpt.com/codex/install.sh | sh

Or with npm

npm install -g @openai/codex
