REA
by morluto
Gives your coding agent the tools to look inside an app or website and explain how a feature works, with evidence.
View on GitHub →What it does
- MCP server that analyzes binaries, JavaScript/Electron apps, .NET programs and websites, locally
- One command (npx rea-agents setup) registers it in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI and others, with preview and backup
- Every conclusion comes with its evidence and limits; use it to understand, audit and rebuild a feature of your own
! Use it only on software you own or are allowed to analyze: many licenses forbid reverse engineering, and bypassing a protection or copying protected code is illegal. The project says so in its DISCLAIMER. Setup edits your agents' config: read the preview before approving.
Install it
Requirements: Node.js and npm. On Linux, a procps-compatible `ps`. Ghidra, Hopper or IDA only for native analysis.
Register REA in your agents (pick, review the preview, approve)
npx rea-agents setup
Restart your agent, then ask it
Understand how search works in the Notes app, show me the evidence, and build a similar feature for my project.
The prompt for your agent
Paste it into your coding agent: it checks the requirements and installs it for you.

Prompt
Install REA (https://github.com/morluto/rea) on my machine.
1. Check the requirements: Node.js and npm. On Linux, a procps-compatible `ps`. Ghidra, Hopper or IDA only for native analysis. If anything is missing, tell me before installing anything.
2. Follow the official method:
- Register REA in your agents (pick, review the preview, approve): npx rea-agents setup
- Restart your agent, then ask it: Understand how search works in the Notes app, show me the evidence, and build a similar feature for my project.
3. Check that it works, then explain how to launch it and where to start.
Always review what your agent is about to run, especially install commands.
